WaxGirl Thoughts:

  • CBS is giving too much away in the previews.
  • Amazing that Russell thought the merge was coming quickly, moved his idol to his pocket, and strategized with Foa Foa before it happened.
  • Who really lost Laura’s canteen?  My bets are on Shambo.
  • If I hear Shambo complain about 90210 again I may just scream.
  • Why was the merged tribe sent to Galu’s beach?  Sending the 4 Foa Foa to the home turf of the opponents is like sending Daniel into the lion's den.
  • Who else wanted to barf when Monica fed grapes to Russell?  Just goes to show you how much alcohol was being served at the feast.
  • Natalie looks like she’s under the radar but I think she’s working almost as hard as Russell.
  • When Russell showed Laura the idol and asked for a deal she revealed crack #1 in the Galu tribe when she said the first ones to vote off were either the Foa Foa tribe or Shambo.
  • Did you wish the T-ball game went on longer?  I wanted each person to hit the ball a few times, not just once.
  • Great editing on the part of CBS during all the scheming on who to vote out; by the time they were on their way to Tribal Council I was lost on who was going to get ousted.
  • Loved Shambo’s “Who’s Erik” line.
  • I also loved Erik’s fading smile at TC when his name was repeatedly read.
  • Shambo’s confusion over the votes will probably send her right into the arms of Foa Foa next week.

Two more thoughts that came later... (sorry, I can't get the bullets to work now)
Is Jeff going to make them choose a new chief?  Or will Mick and Shambo have to "chief" together?
How come Brett doesn't have any facial hair?  Did he sneak in a razor or have it all lasered off?

Good bullets, pcw!     Many of those were in my thoughts, too, and I couldn't stand the 90210 reference either!

Natalie looks like she’s under the radar but I think she’s working almost as hard as Russell.
Oh yea!   I immediately included her in my F4 guesses as soon as Betsy left.   She looked very clever to me.   I never assume that quieter players are only riding coattails.  You needn't be super aggressive to win this game.   And every player rides coattails to some degree anyway, imo.

Loved Shambo’s “Who’s Erik” line     That had to be the quote of the night.
I imagine Jeff introducing her to Erik at the reunion.

I also loved Erik’s fading smile at TC when his name was repeatedly read.   I'll have to watch it again just for that.  My avatar says it all.

Just a few other ones that hit me last night:

1.  Very surprised Monica wasn't targeted for the remainder of the show.  Chief Shambo said no, so that was that?   I'm still kinda confused over this.   Must have missed something between Laura winning and Natalie targeting Erik.

2.  Laura is looking more and more like Corrine (Gabon).   They can be look-alikes - not sure about act-alikes...yet.   lol

I tried and tried to do bullets here, but the parts I don't want in bullets always gets formatted that way, too.     Please share.

sheesh!   Totally forgot to mention my favorite part.
During TC, Jaison said something like this towards Erik and I LOVED the way he said it:
"I just don't care what you think"

Me too!!  I loved how Jaison came back at him with that. Jaison hasn't been great but where does Eric get off coming across like he was God and had the right to pass judgement over Jaison? I don't remember him being a standout in the competitions either. I am not saying he did poorly but he wasn't outstanding either

Yea, Erik came across quite judgmental during TC.

I’m not excusing Jaison for how he came across and performed all the time, (I was mostly disappointed during the puzzle challenge as he was, too), but just a few things I kept in mind.

He’s athletic and performed great at the start and for a while...larger/athletic types, generally, need more calories...he’s sick and tired of losing and perhaps allowed it to affect him more than others have or the editing just showed him more complaining about it - so it appears he has given up or maybe he has little choice but to play another way considering other things.  It’s understandable, but almost always not tolerated well by other players and viewers.   I can’t help but give him more room since I like the guy.  Isn’t that often the case!   ;-)

I agree the larger more muscle bound guys have more of a problem because they need more calories to begin with. I do think he is complaining more than the others, both tribes commented on that so I don't think it is just  editing.  But Erik has done this for weeks where he makes snarky nasty comments about the other tribe. He taunts them at challenges. He is a shows poor sportsmanship and I don't respect that especially when he is no bargain either. Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones

I was reminded of this last night while reading another message board.

Natalie worked with Galu to make it happen, but it was Jaison who got the ball rolling against Erik.   He was probably the "unexpected master manipulator" mentioned in the teaser for this ep, but I'm not 100% certain.

Go Jaison!  He's still in my FF pick list.
