How sad that this once promising young man should die a recluse and in debt. I loved Michael Jackson when he first went solo from the Jackson Five. However, the past twenty years were pitiful ones for him. Severe plastic surgeries, allegations and trials for child molestation and his extreme bizarre behavior kind of tarnished his music reputation.

I do hope his children will come out of this all right. They deserve a good future.

Hubby and I were test driving a car on Thursday when we heard the news on the radio.  I thought it was a sick joke at first, shocking.   I wish the best for his kids and family.

I remember wanting the Thriller album more than anything for my 12th birthday.   He was a very talented yet troubled person.

Sorry girls, didn't mean to make you feel old.

I went and checked the dates to see if I was wrong and Thriller was released on November 30, 1982.  My birthday is in December so I actually wanted it for my 13th birthday...that should help a bit.

I feel so much younger now, Tanya!  NOT

I'm even a year older than you, Bubu.

Sheesh, 1982? I was married five years already and thirty years old. I do remember seeing a Thriller large sized poster of Michael Jackson and really liking what I saw.

I am grateful his mother has custody of the children although the woman is almost 80 years old.

I think I have you all beat.  My children were  all fans of MJ.  One of them had the THRILLER album.  I think it was my son.  If he still has it, it may be worth something.  Tanya, do you still have yours.

Well, the funeral was touching although the media hype was overdone. I really liked what Brooke Shields said. The daughter, Paris, was also touching.

Now, I am hoping the media will go onto the next news story.
