I hope the judges are reading all the comments on every web site because many, many, many of them blame the judges.  Katy Perrys cape advertisement has also been brought up, Paula screaming that he was the winner the second week...on and on. 

Kara has to be totally humuliated today.  Not only for her dress ripping, bikini baring display last night (glad to know the money bet went to charity) but for the finale song that is taking a beating.

I caught parts of AI last night and it was a very good show.  Congratulations to Kris!  I admired his humility, even he agreed that it should have been Adam.  I think Adam will become one of the most successful Idol contestants ever.

Jeez I wish I could predict the Loto numbers! I just saw a trend towards Kris getting stronger while Danny seemed to be slipping. Adam had a large fan base but as people dropped out I don't think he gained much. I do believe that homophobia played a factor in some areas. Just recall the reaction that Randy Travis had to Adam and his appearance. I don't think the old country boys were pounding the phones for Adam. Just how much an effect it had on the overall numbers will never be known.

It was a great show. What a thrill for all the contestants to be able to perform with those top stars. The only downer I thought was Rod Stewart who I guess didn't want mere amateur peons singing with him. He could have used the backup from the Idols because I thought he was awful. Also I think he was in a chemically altered state. There were a couple of times there when it appeared he was going to fall on his butt when his feet just didn't seem to be working for him.

While I think Adam was the best singer I think the result last nite was the best for both. As has been said already. Kris is more in line with the Idol record mold while Adam will be free to be more creative than any idol producer would allow on his 1st album. I think Alison just may outsell them both. She is an incredible talent but she got jobbed over by the judges who where more critical of her hair colour and fashion sense than recognizing her singing talent. The judges had already decided who they thought were top 3 and the hell with the rest.

I definitely feel that Paula's contract should not be renewed and that Randy Jackson should be given a one way
ticket to Oxford , England where perhaps he may learn to speak the English language in a comprehensible fashion.

The phone voting system is a sad joke that is a cash cow for the sponsor. Each household or # should be limited to 5 votes.

In any event I'll be anxious to hear what kind of CDs come out of Kris, Adam and Alison.

Jakey, I'm wondering if "good old country boys" even watch Idol.   It's not exactly their cup of tea, doncha know! 

I heard (or read) that Brian May of Queen was very impressed with Adam and was thinking of offering him Freddy Mercury's old job.   Now that would be a feather in his cap.

On the pt 2 of the Larry King Show interview with the Top 10 that Ryan filled in for Larry, Ryan asked Adam about that offer from Queen. Adam is considering it he says.  Wouldn't he be better off starting his own group?

The New York Times is reporting that American Idol's Kris Allen may have had a little help from AT&T, one of the Fox show's biggest corporate sponsors, in winning this year.

According to the Times, AT&T provided phones for free text-messaging services at two Allen parties in Arkansas on the night of the finals. Citing sources, The Times reports that AT&T reps showed party-goers how to "power text" -- cast 10 votes at the touch of a button -- which violates show rules.

Power texts, according to the Times, "have an exponentially greater effect on voting than do single text messages or calls to the shows toll-free phone lines."

No similar efforts appear to have been made to provide free texting services to Adam Lambert fans.

Angry Lambert supporters are now claiming in online chat boards that the competition's voting was rigged.

While Fox has yet to comment, AT&T issued the following statement: "In Arkansas, we were invited to attend the local watch parties organized by the community. A few local employees brought a small number of demo phones with them and provided texting tutorials to those who were interested."
