RE:Big Brother - Summer of 2009
(Date Posted:09/09/2009 11:31 AM)

Don't write Jordan off too soon.  When I finally gave up and went to bed at 1:30,
they were all still in it, but Natalie had almost fallen twice!

If anything does Jordan in, it will be the cold.  She was obviously freezing.

I just got back from the dentist, so I haven't had a chance to watch After Dark,
which will take it to 3am, Eastern Time.  In the meantime, I'm forcing myself to
stay away from the CBS boards and the live feeds at least until After Dark plays
out.

I have to say that I was amazed that Kevin evicted Michelle and kept Jordan.  He
absolutely HAS to keep Natalie out of the Final Two to have any chance at all of
winning.  Actually, at this point, I don't think that he could beat any of the women,
but at least he would have had a fighting chance with Michelle.  And, much as I
love Jordan, and now hope that she wins the game, Michelle would have stood a
much better chance of beating Natalie in a final showdown.

Ironically, I think that Jordan is the only hope of beating Natalie in the Final Two.
By my count Jordan would get Jeff, Michelle, Kevin, America and very possibly
Russell and Lydia.  I think that I'm just an incurable optimist at heart.

After you get done with after dark, I posted a spoiler on the spoiler boards.  Lots of controversy about the challange.    Do not read it if you don't want to know who won the challange.

Thanks Jonesy.  I did see who won the challenge on After Dark, but I knew nothing about the
controversies.  Won't say more, since I'm back on the general board, but I found it all to be VERY
interesting!  I still have another 40 minutes of After Dark to watch and then I'll check the CBS
boards.  I'll bet the ranting and raving is positively deafening!

I am soooooooo upset to see Michelle evicted from the game. Darn it! I was really hoping Kevin would stand up to Natalie and evict Jordan but the man is a coward. I don't think he can win against Natalie or Jordan but he did have a chance against Michelle. I just wanted to see Michelle in the Final Two.

Now, with Jordan, Natalie and Kevin in Final Three, I don't even want to watch but I have the entire summer invested in this show so I have to watch. If Natalie or Kevin win, I am going to hurl. I can stand to see Jordan winning. In fact, I would rather like to see the dumbest person in the house win over everyone else. Can you imagine each houseguest admitting Jordan beat them all? I would be soooooooo embarrassed.

I agree Cindi.  I'm just not interested but we do have so much invested.  Not even the winner of the $25,000 will be a surprise.

RE:Big Brother - Summer of 2009
(Date Posted:09/09/2009 19:49 PM)

And just to add insult to injury, the sure winner of the 25,000 dollars is the same
guy that totally destroyed the ending of this game!   OUCH!!!!

If that nitwit had stuck to the original plan, we'd now almost certainly have Jordan,
Michelle and either Russell or Jeff in the Final Three.  Instead three of them are
gnashing their teeth in the jury house, and poor Jordan is left all alone with the two
biggest sharks in the house.  Thanks a lot, Jeff!

The really sad part is that Natalie has played one of the most brilliant games that I've
seen on ANY reality show.  She's right up there with the best of the Survivors, and she
even managed to get engaged on the show!  (Actually, after watching her play for the
past 10 weeks, I'm surprised he didn't run for his life!  He has to be either one very
brave or one very stupid man! LOL!)

Anyway, normally I'd be cheering her on.  The trouble is that she's such a nasty, obnoxious
little twit, that she makes it impossible for anyone to be happy for her!   AAARGH!!!

So I'll just pray for one of two impossible miracles:

1. Jordan wins BOTH of the last two challenges.  (When pigs fly and a Mensa chapter opens in St. Olaf!)

2. Kevin grows a spine and tosses Natalie into the jury house at the last possible moment, just for spite!

I actually have some hope for number two.  Natalie has been managing to make him the bad guy
for weeks now.  Maybe he should show her just how bad he can be.  It's just the kind of malicious
trick that Kevin would enjoy pulling, and nobody more richly deserves it than Natalie.

I LIVE to see Natalie's reaction to that move!  I bet she'd make Chima look like Little Bo Peep!

Hey!  I can dream, can't I?

I'm affraid I have to agree with you Smoky about Jeff  destroying the end of this show.  I knew when he  flipped on Russell it was a huge mistake.  I read some of the spoilers and there has been much talk about the producers trying to influence the houseguests while they are in the DR.  I'm wondering if they tried that with Jeff and he just wouldn'r listen to reason.

The more I watched last night the madder I got.  They were told to face forward and Kevin was
sideways the whole time and you could tell he was looking at the gears and could tell when the
barrel was changing directions.

Way to go Jordan.  I would love love love it if she would beat Kevin now.  Sweet justice.

RE:Big Brother - Summer of 2009

Yessss!!!!

Jordan didn't only beat Little Nasty- she decimated her 9-5!!!

I admit that I was hoping for a massive invasion of dragonflies
just as Natalie was getting ready to shoot, but as it turned out, it wasn't necessary.

One Down!  One To Go!

As I understand it, the pigs are already taking wing and are overflying the groundbreaking construction for the new Mensa House in St Olaf!
(I hope! I hope!)

Actually, it would be more satisfying if Kevin won and threw Nasty to
the wolves with a big evil grin on his face, but I worry that he might
wimp out at the last minute.  It's much safer if Jordan wins on her own.

The downside would be that Jordan would almost certainly evict
Kevin and take "Honest Natalie" to the finals.  I'm pretty sure that she
still holds a grudge against Kevin for evicting her precious Jeff.  The
fact that "precious Jeff" brought it all on himself and richly deserved
to be evicted won't cut any ice with Jordan.

The other downside is that Jordan would certainly lose Kevin's vote and she may need it badly.  I still think that she can beat either Kevin or Natalie in the finals, but unfortunately I have a terrible track record
at guessing how individual jurors will vote.  It didn't help that all the
"experts" last night were predicting a Kevin win!  Oh well!  One can only hope!

Aside to LindaJean:  You are right on the money!  I have no doubt at
all that the DR did everything but get down on their knees and weep to
get Jeff to change his mind, but the guy is nothing if not pigheaded!

Aside to Jonesy:  Thanks for the pat on the back, but so far Hollywood has managed to resist my allure.  Go figure!

Still hoping that Jordan can pull off a win for the Good Guys!

Smoky

I was soooooo happy to see Jordon win last night.  One of the girls from a previous season said that the only time a female has won is when there are two females in the final.  If that is true then I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will be Jordon and Nat.  That is if Jordon should win this last challenge.  It sounds like everyone in the jury house has turned on Nat for lying about her age.

Don't you think it is odd that the jury members would turn on Nat for ONE LIE? As far as I can see, they have all lied at one time or another. There must be something more to it?

Way to go, Jordan! Blew Natalie away and won the second round! Yea for Jordan!

I figure Kevin will win the HOH and evict ?    Darn if I know! He says he will evict Natalie because he is so sure she would win against him but I figure he is too afraid of the Wrath of Nat that he will not carry through.

Jordan gets third place? Is there a specific dollar amount for third place? I am hoping she wins enough money to help buy a home for her and her mother.

I enjoyed seeing Danielle again as well as the rest of the past houseguests. Boogie, Janelle and Dick were not my favorites but I did enjoy their input.

I really don't think Kevin is afraid  of the Wrath of Nat.  Afterall he wasn't afraid of the Wrath of Jeff when he stabbed him in the back. I just hope that the next challenge is something Jordon does well, which isn't much. She must of been up all night before that last challenge memorizing stuff.  She did a pretty good job getting those balls in the right holes too.  Wonder if shes a bowler? I will be soooo happy if she ends up winning this.  The others, not so much.

I could've swore I heard Julie say something about Nat and Jordan having to do another challange or go head to head or something like that.  I was ticked off about it because Nat should be out at this point.

I just hope Jordan can pull it off.

RE:Big Brother - Summer of 2009
(Date Posted:09/14/2009 16:26 PM)

LOL!

I voted Jordan, Kevin, Jordan until I got carpal tunnel in both hands, and a severely
overheated mouse!

Jonesy, our predictions of the jury vary quite a bit, but as I said before, I'm usually
wrong when I try guessing individual juror votes.

My latest:

Jordan and Natalie:  Jordan gets Jeff, Michelle, America.  Nat gets Jessie and Kevin.
(A Jordan/Nat Final Two would mean that Jordan evicted Kevin).

Russell is up in the air, but I think he'd vote for Nat.  He's already
indicated that strategy is important to him.

Lydia is a complete wild card.  She'll either vote with Jessie for Nat,
or for Jordan because she's never been able to stand Nat.  Total tossup,
depending on her emotional state at the exact moment of voting.

Kevin and Natalie:  Kevin gets Michelle, probably Lydia, probably America.  Natalie gets Jeff,
Jordan, Russell, and Jessie.  Jeff, Jordan and Russell are all still blaming each
other and Kevin for all their troubles, while Natalie snickers in the background.

Jordan and Kevin: Jordan gets Jeff, Michelle, America and Nat, which is all she needs.  This works
best if Kevin waits until the last minute to dump Natalie, so that she'll be steamed
to the max when she casts her vote.  She might also get Russell and Jessie, which
would leave Kevin with Lydia only.

Obviously, I'm hoping for scenario Number 3.  It's easily Jordan's best shot

My main worry is that Kevin is starting to make noises about how it would be more "fair" to give Natalie
some advance warning that he intends to dump her.  That could be a total disaster!!!!  Let us pray that
he retains some sanity and saves it for a "surprise"!

I voted Jordan, Kevin, Jordan.

If the Final Two is between, Jordan and Kevin, Kevin will win.

Between Kevin and Natalie, Kevin will win.

Between Jordan and Natalie, Jordan will win.

Just my humble opinion, of course!

I can't wait to see who wins and who also gets the $25,000. I am also grateful the whole dang series is finally over. Not one of BB's best.

RE:Big Brother - Summer of 2009
(Date Posted:09/15/2009 17:42 PM)

Wow, Cindilou!  That makes you, Jonesy and the BB experts all at odds
with my choices!.  I'm becoming more and more convinced that I've
blown it yet again!  It would certainly not be the first time (or even the tenth,
for that matter!)  The odds-makers in Vegas would love me!

On another subject that's a little late in coming, I was intrigued by your
observation that they were all so upset that Natalie lied about her age.
It was easily the most harmless of all the 6000 or so other lies that she told
during the show, and was obviously designed just to keep them all from
taking her seriously. (And it worked like a charm, incidentally!)

I think what made that particular lie so upsetting was that it actually fooled
ALL of them, even when the lie itself was exposed as a lie at least a dozen
times and NONE of them (except possibly Kevin) ever picked up on it.

Just two obvious examples:  On the first night of After Dark, there were at
least 8 or 9 people on the patio, and it was brought up that the minimum
age requirement for Big Brother was 21.  One of the guys said that his
packet of materials specified age 21.  Another guy and one of the women
said the same thing.  But did they conclude that Nat was a liar, and had to
be at least 21?  Noooo!  They decided that CBS was experimenting with
lowering the age requirement!!!!  PUHLEEZ!

Then, last Tuesday, Natalie got totally smashed on some hard lemonade
that she apparently got in her HOH basket.  Jeff and Michelle, who were
given no alcohol by BB that night, spent half the evening moaning and
complaining that CBS was giving an underage kid liquor, and giving nothing
to them!  Again PUHLEEZ!  Did they really believe that CBS would illegally
serve alcohol to a minor on national television in front of the whole country,
the FCC and a dozen Federal, State and Local Law Enforcement agencies?
Apparently they did, and are now probably feeling like idiots.

And that's only two instances.  There were many more.  Bottom line:  It was an
extremely lame and very shaky lie, and yet it worked like a charm and fooled
every one of them.  I think that's why it ticked them off so badly.  JMHO.

Yea Jordan won! A great ending to a miserable season! I am sooooooo grateful BB is OVER!

Who would have thought that Jordan could beat both Natalie and Kevin for the final HOH? Not me. I was stunned! And then Jordan picks Natalie and I think, "There is a possibility, just a tiny smidgen of a possibility that Jordan is going to win!" and she does! I was jumping up and down! Yea!

Jessie, Lydia, Jeff, Michele and America voted for Jordan. The Jessie, Lydia votes were surprises. Russell and Kevin voted for Natalie. Jordan won 5-2. I bet Natalie was shocked. I am almost positive she thought she was going to win.

Jeff won the $25,000 easily. Julie said no one else came close.

Natalie kind of got lost once her and Jordan left the house. I had to rewind my tape three times to figure out what happened to her. Jordan went first and then no Natalie. The production crew must have held her back so Jordan could have her moment.

LindaJean, you wrote:

Okay, we both must have seen two different versions of the Early Show. I had to work so I taped the whole two hours. Fast forward and found the Jordan/Jeff interview in the last five minutes. The entire interview probably lasted three minutes. I was thinking why did Julie not interview Natalie or anyone else? But apparently you saw the "everyone else interview" and I saw the Jeff/Jordan interview. Hmmmm, quite odd don't you think?

Yessss!  She did it!!!   A veritable minnow among the sharks and Jordan
pulled it off!  Girl, you rock!  I don't think I've ever been happier for any
other winner since I've been watching these shows.

Jessie's vote really surprised me.  I think maybe that Natalie's
engagement, coupled with her announced "strategy" of attaching
herself to the strongest player available, made him realize just how
much she'd been using him.  That would not sit well with a walking
ego like Jessie.  I suspect that Michelle might have put a bug or two
in his ear as well.

I'm having a hard time realizing that this game is over. I don't think
that I've ever become this intensely involved in ANY show before.  I
think it's probably because between BBAD and the feeds, this soap
opera has been on practically all day, every day for two months!

I'm going to have a supremely hard time making the adjustment to one
hour per week each of Survivor and The Amazing Race.  In fact, I've
been so embroiled in Big Brother that I haven't even LOOKED at the 20
Survivors yet.  I'll have to remedy that tomorrow.

I know that this hasn't been everybody's favorite season, but I have to
admit that I'm just warped enough that I enjoyed every psychopathic
moment of it!

Best to all,

Smoky

Smoky, it was the season you loved to hate.  It was like a moth to a flame.  It was exciting yet
annoying.  I'm glad its over.  There's just to many shows coming on next week, I would've had to quit work to watch them all.
