Hi Jonesy! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on DWTS!
Wow, how did Melissa do so well with only two days of rehearsal? I bet she is in the finals. Everyone is cheering her on.
Julianne and her boyfriend were nice to watch. I love Julianne Hough!
I, too, was impressed with Lil Kim. She seemed quite honest and willing to do the work.
The Italian guy from the movie, Sex and the City, was pretty spectacular! It takes me so long to remember their names if I do not know them upfront.
It looks like a good season so far. I will be watching!

Me too. Already counting down for this evening's show. Heard earlier that several of the men are having physical problems because of the dancing: Gilles, Steve and the Jack-Ass guy are all having problems.

Denise has to get the stick out of her butt and loosen up. It ticked me off when she was complaining that she would never be able to compete with someone like Melissa who's had dancing experience. Get over yourself, you are your worst enemy and it has nothing to do with Melissa.
Gilles was so HOT and his scene with his mother was so touching. I'm surprised that they didn't show her in the audience. How awesome that she flew from France to see him. I hope he quits hurting himself.
I thought Steve O was a trouper and really wasn't all that bad considering his injuries.
Of course, Steve W will be the one that goes. I don't think I've ever seen a 3.
Shawn just continues to shine every week. For her, trying to dance in high heels is a feat in itself.. She just floated last night.
I was so happy for Ty. He is improving each week. That's what I like about this show to take someone like him and make them into a dancer. It looked like he was actually having fun.
I thought Lawrence, Chuck and lil Kim were good
I want Tony to win this so bad so I'm rooting for Melissa.

Steve W should not be on this show. What is he the Star of anyways? For final four I'm hoping it comes down to Gilles, Shawn, Melissa and lil Kim....with Melissa and Tony winning. That would be great. Tony has never won has he?

No, Tony has never won and that's why I'm rooting for him. He is always paired with the more mature women who are long past their dancing prime. But he's always a gentleman. The only other time he had anyone any good was when he was partnered with Stacy Kiebler. They came in 3rd because he did some horrible choreography in the finals. It's exciting to see him actually get to do some harder choreography. I guess with some of the people they pick through the years, it should be called,"Dancing with Someone Well Known."

Well we all knew that Denise wouldn't make it far. I was just a little surprised that it was her last night and not Steve W. I guess both Steves have fan bases so they will probably hang in the for a while. I guess it will be Holly next.

I thought that Lil Kim did an awesome job last night every bit as good as Gilles. He owned that dance and did deserve a 30.
Oh Steve W. It's your time to get outta dodge. Then Holly, and Steve O.

Any of the Latin dance's I think Gilles will win hands down. He just has the look and musicality to pull them off. He was again amazing last night.
I also am really liking Lil Kim. For as tiny as she is her lines look so long and she very rarely screws up. I think she's a top contender.
I think Carrie Ann is just plain jealous of Melissa. They are so much harder on her and I don't think she deserved the comments last night. It wasn't her best but it was still darn good.
Middle of the pack OK...David Grier, LT, Chuck They did good just still look so wooden. I reallly thought that Chuck and Julianne were going to be so much better. I figured they'd practice in their down time. Congratulations to Julianne for winner best newcomer at the CMA awards. I will bet that after this season it will be her last. I think she just came back to dance with her boyfriend so Karina wouldn't get him. LOL
Kudo's to Steve-O for really turning his life around but just isn't cutting it out there. We'll see if his fans can save him.
OMG...I love Ty's sense of humor. He is always cracking me up and he does it with such a dead pan delivery. I wish he could've continued to improve but he went backwards last night.

It really shouldn't of been Kim and David that went last night. When the judges gave them their scores I figured they were safe. It doesn't make sense.

Evidentally, Steve O has a much bigger fan base so it covered his butt even though the judges scores were lower.
David has been seen on several magazine shows really ticked off and cussing and insulting the judges especially Carrie Ann. Sometimes I do think the judges are way to hard on them. They come on the show with no experience and work their butts off. The judges can give them low scores but sometimes I think they are down right mean.
Clyde Drexler I think it was put them in their place once for that very thing. They are putting themselves out there for our entertainment and I cringe when their comments get to personal.

RE:Dancing With The Stars - Season 8
(Date Posted:04/14/2009 07:40 AM)
No one really wowed me last night although I sure enjoyed watching LT. It wasn't the best dance but I loved his little swagger and how he was having fun with it.
Steve O..bless his heart and Ty too. They give it so much and come up so short. I think Steve O needs to go first but he probably has voting for the worst behind him. How he escaped last week is beyond me.
Had to laugh at Marks comment about his dance being age appropriate. I get a kick out of Shawn when they show the rehearsal clips. You can tell how uncomfortable she is and how Awesome for Mark to do that whole Prom scene. He's one of my favs.
Also like the moment when Gilles went over and kissed his wife/girlfriend. He's a natural and you would never guess that he has no dance experience. He seems to handle every dance that is thrown his way.
I just don't get the Julianne/Chuck thing either although at least last night they did show some chemistry and he loosened up a bit but there's still a long way to go. They are just so dang cute you just can't help but root for them.
Melissa and Tony were good but not great. I also love watching them and there relationship is so fun.

RE:Dancing With The Stars - Season 8

I thought Tony and Juliannes dance was the best I have ever seen on any of the seasons Julianne is beyond amazing, flawless, beautiful and some of those moves. When he flung her up over his shoulders and she was in a splits position then landed on her feet so light...OMG. Big huge kudos on the choreography. It was breathtaking. How cute when she ran up and gave Rascal a big ole country hug. Now that she's big on the country scene, I bet it meant a lot to dance to that song.
I will miss her horribly....I hope she comes back. But if Chuck and her tie the knot, he may not want her doing those steamy dances!!
It was time for Steve O to go but he is a totally changed person. Sounds like him and Lacey have a little sumpin, sumpin going on off the show. Glad to see him turn his life around.
Interesting tidbit about the body language of the contestants. Now I will be watching for that.

RE:Dancing With The Stars - Season 8
(Date Posted:04/21/2009 07:21 AM)
My thoughts exactly PC. There are so many good dancers this year..
Melissa and Tony WOW. She looked like one of the professional dancers. Damn Len, they deserved a perfect score!
Lil and Derek. That dress was really distracting. You couldn't see half of the steps. Although her lines are beautiful in every dance.
Julianne and Chuck finally broke through. He loosened up and is up there with being the most improved. They deserved their high scores.
Shawn and Mark were right on. She also finally loosened up her hips and it made a big difference in the quality of the dance.
Cheryl and Gilles were good. Not their best performance but he's a natural and so smooth. I love watching him dance.
All the above could win and I would be OK with it. This season is really a tough one. No clear cut favorite to root for they're all so good.
Chelsea and Ty..bless his heart but he just is still so stiff. I give him credit every week though for busting his behind to do the best he can.
Edyta and LT were not good last night. I had to laugh though at her comments about she was wearing too many clothes and got all tangled.
The guys actually did a pretty good job overall in designing the costumes.
Ty or LT to go.

I'm so glad Melissa made it through this week, but I wonder how she is going to dance with those hairline fractures in her ribs. Don't they take a while to heal?

I am so grateful Melissa got to stay on. Although I love Julianne, I did not develop a liking to Chuck.
Surely they would not give the go ahead to Melissa if she was not capable of dancing with a hairline fracture. She must have had a doctor's consent to continue, right?

My son working for a college football team has seen players having their rib cages wrapped and back out on the field in the same game and they take a lot more brutal punishment. That's not to say that it's a good idea for fear of making it worse. I would think if they stay away from lifts or anything that will put pressure on it, then she might be OK. We will soon see. I just hope she doesn't risk further and more severe injury. It's just not worth it. I felt so bad for her last night when she was crying. I'm not sure if it was tears of joy or feeling bad for Chuck and Julianne.

I've cracked my ribs from coughing (had bronchitis). It's very painful and not much can be done to fix it until it heals itself.
