Hey Guys!!
I LOVE this show!! This is only my 2nd season watching it. The reason I never watched before was the screaming judge, lol. But this show is too good to pass up. Do you know if they put the seasons out on DVD?
Any favorites so far? I was SO happy that guy from last year came back. I think his name is Brandan or Brendan. He was on with Katie's from last year's roommate. Gev beat him out. He sort of resembles Carlton Banks from the Fresh Prince? He is amazing beyond belief.
Okay, before you think I'm totally insane. how about that kid Silky who did the tap dancing to Thriller? Or Sammy, the kid with the red & black hair? They were a few of my favorites. The girls I can't think of right now, but there were a lot of good ones. I wish this show was on 7 days a week.

My daughter danced for 17 years so this one is high on my list. I tend to tune out the judges and concentrate on the dancers. Tap dancing is close to my heart because at the age of 58 I took it
up last year. I have my first recital in 2 weeks. All those years of my daughters recitals and now she will be coming to mine. I hope I make her as proud as she made me.

I love the way they do this show. It's quick and you're at the top 20. Unlike Idol that drags on and on in auditions. Some of my favs didn't make it so I'm anxious to see just how good the remaining ones are.

Jonsey. that's AWESOME!! You'll have to let us know how it went. Good luck! I've always wanted to take up dancing again. I was painfully shy as a child, and that's why I quit. Now I have problems with my feet, and while the stretching would probably do me good, I doubt the doctor would let me do it.
All of my faves EXCEPT for Brandon got the boot so far. I am extremely p!ssed off with what a stinkin b!tch Mia Michaels is. If only she wasn't so darned talented!! WHO does she think she is, talking to Brandon like that?? I do have to say that I totally admire the way he handled himself. If it were me, they's still be mopping my tears off of the stage.
I am SO happy Brandon made it, because I've loved him since last season. But since Gev was chosen over him, I have nothing to say. I absolutely LOVE Gev!! I'm glad he was on last season, and hopefully Brandon will go all the way this year.
If not, I'm counting on you guys to remind me that I had my perfect reality show ending already, thanks to my (I wish!!) JT!!

Whoa, I missed that post about your recital Jonsey! Congratulations, sounds like you are having alot of fun. I hope it goes well for you , what a fun way to get your exercise. I wish I were brave enough to try it but I am not coordinated enough for it.

I agree they are all soooo good. The tall guy who once played hockey may be in trouble, unless he picks up the popular vote. Also the ballet dancer can't last too long. Its too soon to remember all their names.

The hip hop dance was a better dance for me too but out of the three bottom teams..I thought their solo's were the weakest.

I'm ok with the two that left. I thought they were the weakest in this
strong field of dancers. Kupono should be the next to go along with
Asuka.
I loved the opening number. Mia did a great job on the choreography.
It was exciting and they were so precise and together.

The ballroom dancers are usually some of the first to go. I think it's
because they are very limited in what they can do in their solo's. I
liked Max too but he would've been going sooner than later anyway.

I was SHOCKED that Max went. I thought he was much better than Kupono. I think Max was pretty shocked too.
I was also glad to see that the next season will be so quick in coming. It was great that Evan's brother got picked again, but kind of odd that they would show him as a contestant now. That gives him a lot of pre-season advertising that the other contestant's won't get. Was it possible that they felt guilty in not putting him on this season? Isn't he at the top of the age range? Maybe that's why they're starting another season so soon.

I for one am not so thrilled it will be on in the fall. It is too much for me to watch Survivor Amazing Race, Top Chef, DWTS and SYTYCD all at the same time!!! LOL I love this show though do I will find a way

It was sad to see Max go. I thought he was very good, but I really like the way Kupono moves. I didn't really enjoy his solo, and I thought Max did a great job, so I was happy Kupono got to stay. I really don't know what to think of the other dancer.... is his name Jason? I didn't enjoy their routine this week, & I don't know much about him, and haven't formed much of an opinion yet, good or bad.
I still love Brandon, and I'm beginning to really like Phillip & Jeanine. I'm so afraid he won't last too long, but he does have a huge following, so who knows?
As for too many reality shows.... it CAN be overwhelming to try & keep up! This is only my 2nd season of SYTYCD, but I'll take this over DWTS ANY day!! No other show can compare to this for me. Of course, there's nothing like Survivor either, which I can't wait for to start up again!! Till then, I have this & Big Brother. And a serious lack of a life of my own obviously, haha!!

What is the deal with the judges & Kayla? They just fawn all over her. I'm sorry, but I just don't see it. I mean, I really don't see her as outstanding or anything. Of course, I'm no expert in dance, but I know what makes me feel, & I know what I like. I think she made it worse for me by her reaction when she was in the bottom 2 for the first time.... she just had this look on her face like this was something that couldn't possibly happen to her. Like she DESERVED a pass. I could be wrong about that. Maybe I'm just annoyed by the judges constant praising of her like she can do no wrong & I just don't see it? Because if she were Brandon.... I'd be fine with it!! 
I REALLY don't dis-like her.... I know it sounds like I do!! But she hasn't impressed me much, and the judges have me leaning to the point where I AM starting to get annoyed with the fuss they're making over her. I just don't see it! Is it just me?

LOL Sweet Little Sister, I like Kayla a lot but I do know what you mean about the judges praising her so much. I didn't take her reaction to being in the bottom 3 as her thinking she should get a pass. I think it was disappointed for being in the bottom when they got such positive reactions from the judges. I think we will see alot of that this season because all the dancers are so outstanding that they will end up in the bottom even if they performed perfectly. I think this season will be decided on personality

I'm kinda with you SLS. I was surprised she was in the bottom but also surprised by her response. Bubu, you said it when you said all of the dancers are outstanding. They are! I'm still shocked that Max went home so early. But that's why it's called a "competition" not a recital.
I hope the judges don't praise up Kayla like Adam was done on AI. I hate being told who to vote for!

I just don't get why Evan is still in it. Ade is my favorite for the men and Janette was my favorite for the girls. It's now a toss up between Kayla, and Jeanine.

I can't believe Janette is gone. I love Jeanine too, but between the bottom 2 girls, I was really hoping that Kayla went home. I honestly don't see what the big deal is about her.
And thank God Brandon's still there. He is still my favorite so far. It was SO great to see Courtney, Josh, & some of the old crew in the audience. I miss them so much!!

The breast cancer dance that Ade and Melissa did saved them IMO. Otherwise they would both be gone. We sure all have differant opinions don't we? My 2 favorites are Evan and Kayla. I love watching him do his Gene Kelly style dancing and Kayla is fabulous at whatever she does.
