Did anyone watch it?  I thought it was good.  I don't usually watch sci fi, but the show was given so much hype I couldn't resist.

Yes --I have been looking forward to this show for awhile. I remember the version from the 80's. I have to get the original version on DVD to refresh my memory of that V.

I remember watching the original series being introduced as a two hour made for television movie. Like LindaJean, I do not care much for science fiction but the original was quite good. I don't think it was on very long though? No more than a year or two?

I haven't watched the remake yet.

I don't remember the original for the life of me. I watched last tuesday and it really spooked me out. I think I am hooked now. I spent the first 15 minutes trying to figure out who the blonde was and finally it dawned on me that it was Juliette from LOST.  I guess she really is dead,lol
