SFP Interview with Laura:

This week we interviewed Laura Morett. She left the game in episode 10 of Survivor Samoa. Laura was a worthy adversary for evil Russell, and she was an awesome competitor that will be missed.

Listen to this interview to learn the interesting twist behind how she was chosen for the show, her theory on why Shambo was out to get her, the serious injury she had to overcome to play the game and much more.

I knew you wouldn't mind, Tanya.

Of course not, Becca.  Usually I check the articles first thing in the morning and just post them for others as I read them myself.  As you know, we welcome the posting of articles by members as well as managers.  So it's all good and I thank you!

I liked seeing Mick finally win (although it really had nothing to do with wit or strength- just plain luck).  I also liked that some of Foa Foa finally got to go on a reward.

I enjoyed seeing Mick win as well and seeing Natalie and Russell enjoy a reward.  I just wish Natalie hadn't thanked the others for allowing her and Russell to come along.  Natalie won that reward for them and it might be her strategy to grovel, but I still don't like it.

Thank you, Becca.

Jeff: Jaison could barely be bothered to pick up a rock.  Dave was merely following Russell and in doing so nearly stumbled upon the idol but because he is so concerned with Russell he walks away from it and chases back after Russell.  Hilarious.

That whole scene was crazy, how did they loose him?  And Jeff is right, they were so concerned about Russell that they forgot the whole point.

Jeff Probst blogs 'Survivor: Samoa': Episode 10

Erik: “And there goes the lead.”

It’s appropriate that Erik’s comment starts this blog since the downfall of Galu all started with Galu voting out Erik, one of their own.

Survivor hindsight is no different than any other hindsight, it’s always 20-20.  But man… if they only knew what they were starting, ‘ole Erik would probably still be wearing those black knee highs and most of the Foa Foa would be gone.

'Survivor: Samoa' recap: Idols here, Idols there, Idols everywhere!

The unstoppable Russell proves that good things do indeed come in threes

By Dalton Ross

Here's what I fully expect it to come to before this season of Survivor: Samoa is over. Contestants will wake up to find a neon sign hanging over their shelter saying "HIDDEN IMMUNITY IDOL, THIS WAY!" with a huge blinking arrow pointing toward the beach.

Surviving Samoa, Episode 10: Viper Queen of Galu

by David Bloomberg -- 11/20/2009

It’s repercussion time! How do the remaining Galu react to the surprise of last week? We know there is going to be an idol-hunt – does anybody find it? Can Laura (right) win immunity for a third time running? Who is the “viper queen of Galu” and do they rule over the others or do the peasants strike back? Lots of questions, lots of answers, lots of action – all right here!

Thank you, LindaJean.  I always enjoy Janet's take on the show.

Posted on 11/20/2009 09:07 AM

I am glad she is gone too, LindaJean.   She has only herself to blame, when you get arrogant to that degree and feel as though you can treat someone (Shambo) like trash..well sometimes it comes back to bite you.

I didn't care for Shambo laughing so "in your face" when Laura missed with the rock during the challenge.   I hope she doesn't become Miss Arrogant now.

Kelly at Ponderosa:

My gut is telling me that Jaison is going home, but my head is in denial.

If Shambo goes with Russell and Co. again then the vote will be 5 - 5.  So will there be a tie breaker?  If it comes down to Laura and Jaison doing a fire challenge, I think Laura wins hands down.  But suppose someone else from Galu decides to turn?  Perhaps John?

I ended up going with Laura voted off...even though my own explanation points to Jaison.

Thank you for posting the links, Becca.  I was very happy to see that Ethan and Jenna both seem to have a great attitude about all of this.  Personally, I think that is half the battle.

This week we interviewed Kelly Sharbaugh. She left the game in episode 9 of Survivor Samoa. Kelly followed Eric in yet another tribal council blindside as Galu's losing streak surprisingly continued.

Listen to this interview to learn why they really decided to vote Eric off, what she did at the Ponderosa, how she was chosen for the show, who she would like to see win, and what surprised her when she saw it on TV.

Yet everyone is pulling for Russell who is as arrogant and as nasty as anyone could ever be. How can anyone justify that?

Cindi, I do see your point.

I started rooting for Russell about 3 weeks ago and was confused by it myself.  It goes against every fiber of my being to root for a player that I do not like as a person.  But here I am.  My desire to see Russell win this is another reason why I do not like Laura...his arch enemy if you will.  Ami was strong and assertive and very easy to like, IMO.  But completely opposite of Laura attitude wise.

Jeff Probst blogs 'Survivor: Samoa': episode 9

INSIGHT: While we’re on the subject of hidden immunity idols.  A lot of people have been asking me why I have not been asking “If anybody has the idol and you want to play it now is the time to do so…” before I read the votes.  Here’s why – this season the clues have all been secretive.  So there is no way for me to be certain that everybody knows there is an idol in play.  Therefore, I can never ask for them to play it at tribal council because I might be giving something away.

What did Laura do that was so bad? I like strong women and I don't see anything wrong with how Laura is playing the game or her attitude.

Like you Cindi, I admire her strength and her ability to win challenges.  However, her attitude is what makes me not like her.  She is very arrogant and puts out this vibe that others are beneath her.  Cool kids mentality.
