I love this show!  Guy Fieri won in Season 2 and has become one of the best Food Network stars.

Adam Gertler, last season's runner up, is doing an Armchair Judge video blog  on this season that's pretty funny.

Adam Gertler also was doing a show called will work for food that was pretty good.

I happen to be watching it right now.  The mom is a mess and really is way over her head.

Wanted to also say that I like Guy's show too.  Do you know who won it the first season?

From Wikipedia,
"The first season of The Next Food Network Star series was taped in February 2005, and was composed of five episodes premiering on Sundays at 9 PM in June 2005. Dan Smith and Steve McDonagh were the winners of the first season. These two Chicago area caterers host a show called Party Line with Dan & Steve, now titled Party Line with The Hearty Boys, which premiered on September 18, 2005. The runner-up, Deborah Fewell, was chosen to host a special on food at beaches, Surf N Turf, which aired in June 2006."

Guy came from season 2 and became a huge hit with multiple shows.

Season 3 winner, Amy Finley, was going to start a show called "The Gourmet Next Door" but I've never seen or heard of it.

Last season's winner, Aaron McCargo, can be seen on Big Daddy's House on The Food Network.  I was glad to see him with all of the the FN chefs on this week's episode of Next Food Network Star.

I'm glad that Adam Gertler has a show on FN too.  He's got a lot of energy.

I really like Debbie and possibly Tamika but there's no one else I would tune into.

I think Jeffrey is going to win it all.  With Jamika coming in 2nd.

That's my prediction and I'm sticking to it!

The Hardy Boys Party Line is still on very early in the morning around 4 AM.

Amy's show did air for awhile on Sunday around noon  think. Don't know why the font changed but I'm not going to try to fix it. I didn't really like the show.

All the others I liked when I saw them.

I was so sad that Katie left.  She really was the most improved.  As much as I said Jamika will come in 2nd, she needed to leave after the last 2 weeks.

Some info on Amy from WikipediaFinley was the winner of the third season of The Next Food Network Star. She originally attempted to remove herself from the competition following a disastrous five-minute cooking demonstration in Week 5, but was rebuffed by the judges. She was eliminated in Week 7, but after Josh "JAG" Garcia withdrew from the competition for lying about his culinary and military background, Amy was reinstated for the finale in his stead, and she was voted the winner over runner-up Rory Schepisi.

The Gourmet Next Door was named after the theme she adopted through the competition, demonstrating the ease of cooking like a gourmet chef at home. The show aired from October 14 to December 23, 2007, for a total of six episodes, after which it was quietly replaced in its timeslot with reruns of Guy's Big Bite. Following months of speculation, Finley revealed in May 2008 that she had voluntarily turned down the opportunity to return for a second season, citing the stress of the obligations of being a television personality. She currently resides in Burgundy, France with her family.

BTW, MaryWildflower, you probably hit Ctrl and I at the same time.  It will make your font italics.

That's interesting.  I didn't think she should've won in the first place.

There just isn't really a stand out as the judges have said all along.  I don't know who I want yet.

Finalists: Melissa and Jeffrey

Are you excited or disappointed?

I'm excited even though I didn't predict Melissa.  I think she has really grown and would be a great addition to Food Network.

I'm glad out of the two that Melissa won.  I think I would be more likely to watch her show.
Jeffrey as much as I liked him uses more spices than I can eat.
