Episode recaps and commentaries that are found online will gather here.

I'm a fan of  Maddie and Janet's recaps  and will  try to post them often
.

Share whatever you like .     Say whatever you must.

If anyone writes their own recap/commentary, place it in your very own thread with a clear title.
But feel free to post it here if you prefer that.

SURVIVOR TALK at EW.com        LINK
If you want to watch Dalton's
commentaries, that link should work every time.
They might be up each week...keep checking.

And here it is...the first Jim-less recap at BOP, for your reading pleasure.  And it's WAY earlier than mine would have been.

Enjoy!

Thanks for that, Jim!    I looked just for this and like how they treated Sandy/idol. (page 3)

The recappin' ladies said something similar about pace. lol   (5:15)
I admit that I thought the same way Maddie did about someone's knotted dress!   (5:40)

Thanks for the recaps.  I never even noticed the knotted dress..  I taped the show so I'll have to go back and look for that.  I usuaully like to root for the older people but I really don't like Sandy.  Who doesn't know what a pace is, or a palm tree. Geeeeez!

And the BOP recap is ready to roll.  Just so you know...David and Kim live in Tennessee, where Eddie George is a hero/legend...hence all the Eddie love throughout.

Enjoy!

There's no Eddie George love (or hate) here..." and you might ask yourself, who's that?"   lol
I'm only laughing because I know zip about football, too.   Maybe that's why I gravitate towards these estrogen-filled recaps.
Speaking of which, Taj's particular knot dress is mentioned again.
"why do you do that, don't tie it there!"    ;-)

I think Dalton is hilarious and I loved his interaction with Courtney on Survivor Talk. Is Courtney is regular sidekick or does he change them up? Candace was quite good also. It was a funny bit.

Sandy really creeps me out. She really does look psycho with those eyes of hers. And who the heck has never heard to term "pace".

I have to catch the Madrosa report now

It 'seems' like Dalton will probably change the sidekicks since he had Charlie (Gabon) on the week before interviewing Carolina.   Charlie was good, too.   That link shows all the video interviews/commentaries up to date.   Courtney was great and I found Candace very funny, too.

I watch them more than once, for sure.  I always thought Dalton was hilairous.  Even when it seems flat at times I think it's funny.   Dalton has such a boyish look which helps him get away with so much.

SKIRTING THE ISSUE
Brendan had to undress a statue to get his hands on the hidden immunity idol

Survivor:Tocantins Recap: Idol Hands
Brendan gets kinky with a statue to uncover the hidden immunity idol,
while Coach continues his personal crusade against women.

by Dalton Ross  "now they're molesting statues!"    full recap here

>>>   Not only did her hysterical screaming make her look like about 20 veins were going to pop all over her neck and face, but she also kept referring to Brendan as Brandon. My question to Timbira on selecting Debbie to be their instruction-giver is this: Don't you have a coach on your team? Who calls himself Coach? And isn't the most important ability for a coach to posses the ability to calmly and clearly give directions? Might he have been a better selection for that job, or would the assignment have been some sort of insult to his intelligence?  <<<

I loved the way Dalton nailed Coach from all sides.

Coach has to be the most egotistical yet useless player in the history of the show. In my opinion he doesn't even make for entertaining tv. Off with his head I say

Not sure what I liked more - that Dalton was not positive towards Debra and Coach all in one swoop or that he might have a pet peeve about wrong names, too.  lol     Even I forgive (cough cough) her for that particular one.

They’re up late doing these recaps and Maddie’s understandably tired many times.

Not sure how they manage so many of them – I’d be on recap overload.

NEWSFLASH: THIS JUST IN! We now are receiving unconfirmed reports of a second — repeat: second! — tribe playing the game of 'Survivor: Tocantins'. Sources say the name of the tribe is Jalapao, although there has so far been little to no visual confirmation that the tribe exists. When asked about the reports, 'Survivor' executive producer Doug McCallie responded, "I have no comment about that! Just keep watching Timbira. That's where all the action is. I mean, did you see that clown Tyson with the loincloth? Pure gold. Gold, I tell ya!"

Speaking of pure gold, Sydney gave me pause with her deep thoughts at TC last night.  ;-)
As soon as she said that she's more than a pretty face, she then added something like, "it's hard to explain".

Add that to the list of things he CAN"T do.  I hope that Brendan gets wind of them wanting to get rid of him so he makes it to the merge.  I've got to see how the cross team alliance works out.

I actually look forward to Dalton's clever/funny titles and captions the most.  They draw me in.  As I read the recap, I'm already giggling into it.  Read someone's comment there last night and I agree with it...copied in part, below.    Since the start, my 3 favs are Erinn, Brendan, Stephen...then Taj and Tyson.

>>>   Someone who is definitely not an idiot is Tyson. He is setting his death-star beam on Brendan next, and he better watch out, because he has the numbers to vote Brendan out. If I were Brendan and Sierra, I'd recruit Erinn immediately...   Brendan, Taj, Stephen, Tyson, and Erinn are my top 5 faves.   Hope one wins.  <<<     me, too!

Didn't agree with them as much as I often do, but that's okay.  Jeff searched for the tooth for good reason, imo.

I like your favs becca--we are on the same wavelength there.

About the tooth; the first thing that came to my mind when JT tossed it was--jeez that's a stupid thing to do! With that piece they can reconstruct the tooth , so finding it was important in my mind.

Actually I was surprised that they didn't take JT to medical after the challenge and fix him up. Guess they don't have a dental person on staff or medical is only used for more serious injuries that threaten a player's overall health and survivability in the game.

I also hope that Erinn can bond with someone and stay in the game.I like her, she is smart and gives a good effort in all the challenges. Actually I would love to see her bond a rock to Coach's forehead--LOL

Tyson really is one smart player and a take no prisoners type of guy. I look forward to him gutting Coach!

Cheers

At first, I thought JT lost his entire tooth and watching him toss it was quite surreal to me.   And even though it turnd out to be a partial break, I was still going, huh?   Maybe he received help behind the scenes?

Dalton/Jenna/Josh did some funny things with the focus on TEETH.   Especially at the end of Spencer's interview, how Dalton acted and what he said cracked me up.

Nice to see some Erinn love!   But I'm afraid to say more right now.

Recap:  Cooking with Coach!  Has-Beans by Dalton Ross
Coach sabotages his tribe's food supply, while hidden immunity idols (some real, some not) start popping up all over the place.

>>>  But you know what my favorite part of this whole affair was?
It wasn't Coach saying that there was no reason to blame anyone.....(Actually, Coach, there's totally a reason to blame someone, and that someone is you!)

No, my favorite part was when Brendan — while standing right next to Coach — started imitating Mr. Looney Toons by waving his arms and clapping his hands back and forth. Never have I been so proud to have made Brendan my episode 1 pick to win it all.  <<<
full recap here

That was a funny/strange moment – I couldn’t believe my eyes!

Here's a link to the episode.  (if you want to fast forward, after the ad runs, place mouse on screen to get scrolling tools)

You'll begin to see Brendan imitating Coach around the 6:00 mark and oh yea, Coach notices!

There's gotta be a good psychological term for Brendan's actions and I can't think of it.  I think it might include passive/aggressiveness.  IMO, it was sorta meant to keep himself from saying what he was thinking or doing what he really wanted to do - but at the same time, make a statement.  Brendan wasn't going to take listening to that bs totally still.  (jmo)

He could have just walked away and acted like he had to do something, but probably better to stick around and observe...as one should in this game

What Coach was saying was incredibly cloying, irritating...the list goes on.  I could hardly tolerate listening to him from home, so I could imagine what it must have been like there.
