Uh oh, I hope that doesn't mean it is the last of it and the reason they did it was to get it in before Probst's contract was up. Kind of scares me they are changing the pattern

I thought of that too, Bubu. Hopefully it is just easier for them to do it this way. I read in one of yesterdays NY newspapers that Richard Hatct asked the courts if he could be releaased from houst arrest to go film Survivoe. The request was denied.

Monday is the 17th and don't they usually announce the cast a month before the series premieres? There is nothing on the CBS site now but, hopefully, there will be two days from now.

I agree Jakey. That is ridiculous. Did they lose sight of the fact that half the shows appeal was everyday people competeing? I am tired of the Hollywood wannabes being cast

So, if you want to be on Survivor, move to LA, hang out in bars and beauty shops and you have a much better chance than submitting a video application. I think someone should fire the casting director. They are not doing their job.

Okay, I finally got around to viewing some of the biographies. Marisa stands out as someone who may go far. She was born and raised on a farm in Ohio and since I live in Ohio, I automatically have to cheer for her. She seems to have had a hard life growing up but is compassionate enough to work with children in Third World countries. She is used to doing without so Survivor may not present a problem for her.
Yasmin is going to open her mouth and be booted quickly.
Ashley loves comfort and will not be able to tolerate the Survivor conditions.
Oh, I think I like Ben even though he is a mixologist. He has a strong work ethic and cannot abide whiney people. He likes to hunt and fish which certainly comes in handy on Survivor.
I like Betsy too! At the age of 47, she became a cop. Clean and sober for 21 year with a husband in remission from cancer. After all of that, I think she can handle Survivor just fine.
Nothing stands out about Brett to me.
Dave is a possibility but he has a fiery personality.
I like Elizabeth who is extremely smart and educated but opinionated. How far can she go?
Erik's bio turned me off completely.
Jaison is well rounded, extremely intelligent and well versed in strategy games.
Okay, that is enough for today. I will review the other half tomorrow.
So, everyone, what are your opinions on the cast based solely on bios?

Thanks for posting that for us PC. Yes, I like her a lot. After reading the Bios I also like Brett, Erik, Betsy, Mick, Jaison, and Dave. I have to root for Russell Swan too. He grewup in Pittsburgh, my hometown. No mention of him being related to Lynn Swan, the retired Pgh Steeler. Just wondering. Yasmin,Laura and Russell Hantz could be early casualties.

I think it looks like a great cast even with so many people from California! Maybe they are having trouble finding the right people across the rest of America or maybe they are just casting people who look the best in HD.
That is interesting that they are filming the next Survivor immediately after in the same location My guess is that they brought back all the winners to compete against eachother, plus CBS has the Superbowl this year, what a great way to get people to watch an Ultimate Survivor right after the Superbowl!

I don't think they'll do that again. It came on too late, but that is when I started watching. Just left the TV on after the Superbowl and I got interested.
